I bought this for a 1920s-themed New Year’s Eve event. I have long hair that won’t hold a curl, and I didn’t have time to try and make a passable 20s hairstyle out of it. So I figured a wig would be a quicker, easier way to get the look. For the price, I think this wig was great! Mine came with finger waves already intact, so I didn’t brush it out or style it or anything – just used the included wig cap and slapped it on my head 😀
I do think this wig runs a bit tight. That was fine for me because I have a small head, but if you have a larger head and a lot of hair, it may not work for you.
I think for the price I paid, this wig was a great way to get a 1920s finger-wave look super quickly and easily.

This wig was perfect for my production of Chicago. Excellent wig for a 20’s setting! Right out of the bag it was soft and well styled. I never had to do anything to it throughout all rehearsals and shows besides brush with some boar bristles after putting it on just to position the curls where I wanted them. I didn’t even need to keep it on a wig head, it went in the bag between each use and in my show bag! And it stayed on really nicely and never gave me a headache or anything. I got TONS of compliments on it too. I’d love to use it again for a Betty Boop costume!

Looked great on my mannequin (and me, though my son cries when I wear it XD) until I accidentally put it through the washing machine. Surprisingly, it held up (and also went through the dryer, dear lord), and it’s honestly not the worst hair I’ve seen even after all of that. Seemed to have some natural curl, though that may not be for all of the human-hair wigs. Will be buying again so Barbie can look classy again instead of more like Edward Scissorhands…I’m making it work for now! 😀
As far as styling and wearing, it does okay with bobby pins, and the cut of the wig makes it so it can be worn a few different ways and still look great. The color is a dark/deep brown and is human hair from what I can tell. Would likely do okay with light heat (I haven’t tried yet…maybe I’ll do that and try to re-set the style before buying another..), though it’s important to be mindful of hair’s degradation over time when it’s in a wig. If I do the heat-set on the now Edward Scissorhands wig, I’ll update with a picture!

The wig doesn’t have the big deep waves as depicted. I had to recreate the waves to the best of my ability. To be fair there was some waves but just not like in the pic. It is kind of wavy curly like in the review pics. You may take it to your stylist or recreate the finger waves on certain parts of the wig. It’s still a cute unit for the price. No shedding, soft and a good value just don’t expect the big deep waves which is kind of disappointing.

Don’t get me wrong…. The wig is really cute and I didn’t return it because of the price; so I just doctored it up. Brought it to life and I got so many compliments ☺ But if I was in a physical store it would of been one of those clearance wigs you pass up for $10 unless you desperately need something for a special or last minute occasion.

This wig, but going to lie, is the itchiest one that I’ve gotten, BUT I’m in chemo, so my scalp skin is bare and very sensitive. It’s super cute and the styling was well done, so it was easy to just take it out of the bag and slip right on! I just had to wiggle a few of the curls to cover the wig base where my ears are. I get loads of compliments! It’s not as crunchy as the advertising images show, but I kind of prefer that it isn’t extremely stiff. Great buy for the price! I got the pink one.
